Library Displays to Educate and Entertain

Chinese character for Rooster Catch the spirit of Asian Heritage and Lunar New Year on the second floor of the library through the end of February.  Flying dragons, floating lanterns, teapots and vessels from SCC’s Ceramics Dept., and dozens of library books are on display for your viewing and reading pleasure.  The 15-day celebration of Lunar New Year begins on Feb. 9: http://www.c-c-c.org/chineseculture/festival/newyear/newyear.html

Upcoming library displays will highlight health and fitness in March, and poetry in April.  May?  We welcome your ideas.  The library display shelves can feature library books on your topic as well as non-book items and artifacts that can tolerate a low-security but high visibility location.  Contact Mary Ann Robinson (558-2377) for more information.

Staff and students may also use the flat display case in the lobby of the Learning Resource Center to feature any SCC-related topic, such as student club materials, publications, or other media.   Send your written display request to the Learning Resource Division, LR 236, or call 558-2253 with questions.
