New Media Selections

Media is available in the Instructional Media Center on the first floor of the Learning Resource Center (LR 144).  Search for more media in LOIS, the library catalog.  In LOIS do an Advanced Keyword search and limit your search to SCC Media (in the Location box).

Lady Warriors (GV1060.8 .L33 2001)
Documentary about seven Native American girls of the Tuba City High School cross-country running team and their attempt to win a fourth state championship.

 

Secrets of the Koran (BP130.4 .S42 2006)
Explores the history and influence of the Koran. Scholars offer interpretations of
the Koran's verses and draw comparisons between the Koran and the Bible.

What Does it Mean to Be White? The Invisible Whiteness of Being (HT1575 .W45 2004)
Through a series of interviews, Dr. Derald Wing Sue defines white privilege and uses examples to indicate how white privilege serves to keep whites relatively oblivious to the opposite effect this has on persons of color.
