Library Research Workshops ~ Sign Up Now

Jumpstart your students’ library research and send them to a free Drop-in Library WorkshopLibrarians are offering 30 workshops this semester, including some evenings and Saturdays.  Students attend a 50 minute session on their own time - not during your class time - and receive a "Proof of Attendance” form when they complete the class and a worksheet.  Encourage your students to attend one or both levels (Level A covers LOIS and level B covers the library databases).  All classes are hands-on and take place in the LR220 classroom.  Many instructors offer extra credit for attending one or more of these sessions.

Send your students to the Reference Desk on the second floor of the LRC to sign up.  Workshops fill up, so advance signups are recommended.

1921 students attended a library orientation in Spring 2007.  It makes a difference!

View complete library instruction information, including the Fall 2007 schedule for drop-ins and a description of the workshops.

Note: if you would like to bring your entire class to the library for customized instruction, please use the Orientation Request Form.  You will receive a personal confirmation.  Contact Stephanie McDonald (558-2014) for more information.

Faculty and staff are welcome to attend, too.
