I need access to the ARC research database but it keeps bringing me to Sac City instead

I think what you are saying is that although you are an ARC students, when you log in to the databases, you see that it says "Sacramento City College" somewhere on the screen. This might be happening for one of two reasons:

  1. You are physically located on-campus at SCC
  2. You are off-campus, but you are associated with SCC because when you first registered for classes with the Los Rios Community College District, you attended classes at SCC. When this happens, SCC remains identified as your "home campus."

Either way, this might not require fixing. With very few exceptions, the four Los Rios college libraries have the same database offerings—there should not be anything you can't get to as an SCC student that you could as an ARC student. If you do hit one of these exceptions, which, again, are very rare, I think the best thing to do would be to contact the ARC library for help in getting your home campus changed.
