THE APPLICATION DEADLINE HAS EXPIRED FOR THE SPRING 2010 ENROLLMENT FOR THE ADN AND LVN NURSING PROGRAMS. NOTIFICATION REGARDING THE STATUS OF YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE SENT OUT VIA LETTER WITHIN 8 WEEKS. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE DIVISION OFFICE REGARDING YOUR STATUS.

At SCC, we believe that nursing is both an art and a science dealing with the physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual aspects of individuals. The art is the application of the caring attitude and sensitivities of the nurse; the science is based on a multi-disciplinary foundation of theoretical principles that provide comfort and promote wellness. Nursing principles are learned as the individual applies initial learning experiences to more complex situations through the process of critical thinking. We believe that nursing utilizes a holistic approach in caring for people at all levels of the health-illness continuum. We are advocates of our student's journey through the program. Our goal is to foster career mobility and to promote the personal and professional growth of each student.
