How to Become a Sacramento City College Student
The Application and Registration Process

If you are not currently a Sacramento City College student, but wish to take one of our 
courses, you will need to follow this process.

We recommend that you complete this process at least 1 day before the class begins.  
Services may take longer than usual on weekends.
 

1) Fill out an application for Sacramento City College.

Go to the Application page (http://www.losrios.edu/lrc/lrc_app.html) for the Los Rios community colleges.  It is the universal application for any of the Los Rios community colleges.

It will allow you to register in the shortest period of time.  If you fill out the application correctly, it will probably only take about an hour before you are entered in the system on a normal weekday.

Make sure to keep track of the username and password that you established in the application process.  You will need these to get your Student ID number, which you will need to register for classes.

2) Register for the class. 

Go to the Registration page (http://www.losrios.edu/lrc/lrc_reg.html) for the Los Rios community colleges.  It is the universal application for any of the Los Rios community colleges.

  • We recommend using online registration through Los Rios eServices (https://ps.losrios.edu/saha/signon.asp).  

You will need the section number for the class from the current class schedule (http://www.losrios.edu/class-schedules.html).  

The library classes are listed under both Library and 
Library and Information Technology in the schedule.

3) Pay for the class.

Go to the Payment page (http://www.losrios.edu/lrc/lrc_feepay.html) for the Los Rios community colleges.  It is the payment area for any of the Los Rios community colleges. 

  • If you wish to pay online using a credit card you will need to log in to your account at Los Rios eServices (https://ps.losrios.edu/saha/signon.asp).

    • Click For Students in the menu on the left.

    • Click Financial Services and then Pay Online.

 Are You Already a Student?

 
Are you already a Sacramento City College student, but haven’t registered for any other classes during the current semester?

If you have an application on file, you will need to fill out a Supplemental Enrollment Form each semester before you can register for classes.

Log into your account at Los Rios eServices (https://ps.losrios.edu/saha/signon.asp).

  • Click For Students in the menu on the left.

  • Click Enrollment and then Supplemental Enrollment.

Once you have submitted the form, you will be able to proceed with registration.
