This tool will allow you convert URLs you find in certain library databases so that they will work both on- and off-campus. It will work for databases such as JSTOR and ScienceDirect. Do not use it with Ebsco databases, since the proxy information will already be there in the "Permalinks". In many cases, if you get the link when you are accessing the databases from off-campus, the link will not need to be converted. For more information, see the Linking page.
