Welcome Day September 11, 2008
A day long campus-wide welcome to new and returning students generally
held on the quad. Check out SCC programs and services, enjoy free
entertainment, and partake in the barbecue lunch and dinner.

Constitution Day September 17, 2008
This day has been recognized by all institutions of higher education to
promote awareness of United States Constitution. Public Law 108-447
was signed into law by President George Bush designating September 17th as
Constitution Day.

LRCCD Leadership Advance September 20, 2008
This training retreat is for student leaders, and those interested
throughout the Los
Rios Community
College district. This year's retreat will be
hosted by Sacramento
City College.

Club Day October 2, 2008
Check out the student clubs on campus and all they have to offer midday
on the quad. If you don't make a connection, then learn about how to start
your own club.

Arts & Crafts Faire October 14-16, 2008
The Arts & Crafts Faire bring in vendors from all over who offer
their goods at reasonable prices. Whether you're buying for yourself or
someone else, enjoy the great bargains, food, and entertainment on the
quad.

Homecoming Week – November 11 – 14, 2008
Homecoming kicks off on Monday for a week of activities culminating
with the football game on Saturday. Join in the fun everyday at noon on the
quad, run for Homecoming King or Queen and make sure you cheer the Panthers
to victory at Saturday's game.

Student Government Elections March-April, 2009
SCC and the Los Rios Community College District (LRCCD) hold student
elections for SCC Associated Student Government positions and the LRCCD
Student Trustee. Election information will be available starting March 10,
petitions to run for a position will be due April 1, and the elections will
be April 21-22 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Consider getting involved in
student government by running for a position. At minimum, make sure you
vote and have your voice be heard.

Commencement Speaker Application Deadline April 3,
2009
Students are encouraged to apply to be the student commencement speaker at
the spring ceremony. To qualify, you must have at least a 3.0 cumulative
GPA and be graduating by the end of spring semester.

People's Day May 7, 2009
This is a day long campus-wide event for the campus community to come
together in celebration of another year gone by. Check out student talent
and other entertainment throughout the day on the quad. While you're there,
shop at vendor booths and enjoy a free breakfast and dinner.

Commencement Reception May 20, 2009
After the Commencement Ceremony, join family and friends at a reception
honoring all graduates. Enjoy free refreshments and entertainment, and take
advantage of photo opportunities.
