Oil Painting
3 units
Advisory: Art 300 and Art 320 with grade of "C" of better. Acceptable for credit: UC, CSU; CAN ART 10 Hours: 36 hours lecture, 54 hours laboratory. Description: This course is an introduction to the medium and materials used in oil painting. Emphasized are the breakdown and analysis of composition with respect to color, pattern, line, texture, light, space, style and techniques and their application in both historical and contemporary works. This course may be taken twice for credit.
