This course is designed for the Dental Hygienist currently certified
in Local Anesthesia, but because of lack of practical experience,
would like further instruction in administration of local anesthesia
The course includes didactic instruction, laboratory practice,
and clinical application of injection techniques.
Prerequisites: Must be a Dentist or Registered Dental Hygienist
and certified in Local Anesthesia. Bring a sterile aspirating
syringe to class. Note that this class adheres to clinical
wear requirements.

Coronal Polish
Time: Friday, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm,

Instructor: Clark/Macy/Wheatley
A complete Board approved course of instruction in Coronal Polish.
Each student must provide three clinical patients for the Saturday
clinical session. Patients must be free of hard deposits and may
not have any serious health problems. Participants are also required
to bring safety glasses, a mask and at least ten pairs of examination
or surgical gloves for themselves. Participants must wear OSHA
attire on Saturday. First patient will be treated at 10:00 am,
second and third patient are treated after lunch break. Note that
this class adheres to clinical
wear requirements.

Pit And Fissure Sealant
Placement
Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Instructor: Greenfield/Staff
In order to place Pit and Fissure Sealants, the RDA must successfully
complete a Board approved course. Our complete course is 2 days
in length. You are required to bring four patients on the second
day for sealant placement. An RDA or DA working toward their RDA
may participate in this course. Participants must wear scrubs
both days.
- Special Typodonts have been designed
by JProductions and SCC for the lab session.
- A workbook and study materials are
sent prior to course attendance.
- All consumable materials and instruments
are provided.
- Two different methods of sealant
placement will be taught.

Impressions

If you want to learn to take the best alginate impressions of
your career, this class is for you. The entire course will be
spent learning to take impressions or improving your current impression
techniques. We will use both alginate and alginate replacement
materials. Course includes mixing, tray selection, placement,
post impression handling, and special needs tray adaption. Limited
enrollment. Note that this class adheres to clinical
wear requirements.

Temporary Custom
Crown And Bridge

This course covers custom prepared single anterior and posterior
temporary crowns, and three unit bridges, state-of-the-art materials
and techniques are used. See additional course below for temporary
custom veneers. $50 total discount given if you enroll in this

Ultrasonic Scaler
For Orthodontic Procedures

All RDA’s who wish to use an ultrasonic scaler for cement
removal around orthodontic appliances MUST complete an approved
course of instruction in the use of an ultrasonic scaler. This
course is designed to include clinical and legal responsibilities,
indications/contraindications, patient and operator safety, as
well as clinical practice. Participants must provide their own
safety glasses, face mask, and gloves. A brief instrument list
will be mailed upon acceptance of enrollment.
