Sponsor or Endow Campus Scholarships

Sponsor a Scholarship
Every year, thousands of high school graduates throw off caps and gowns to begin new lives as adults. Unfortunately, college is an impossible dream for many young adults due to financial limitations. Currently, SCC has $100,000 in campus scholarships.

The SCCF, through its generous donors, provides scholarships to ensure that today's students have access to a college education. Make a difference tomorrow by giving these students a college education today. Every penny of every dollar you donate goes directly to student scholarships!

For more information on giving to the Student Scholarship Fund, contact the SCC Foundation office and ask for our Scholarship Coordinator, (916) 558-2197 or you can download the Establish Form in PDF format, fill out the form in Adobe Acrobat Reader, print the form and mail it to: SCC Foundation, 3835 Freeport Boulevard, Rodda North 222, Sacramento, CA 95822-1386.

Endow a Scholarship
More than a third of the Foundation's scholarships are funded by permanent endowments. Endowment funds are an easy way to make a lasting mark on the future of our community because they allow the Foundation to offer scholarships every year, in perpetuity. Because of this, they touch not only the lives of today's students, but others for generations to come. Because the scholarships are funded by accrued interest, the original gift itself remains untouched.

You may choose to name an endowed scholarship after yourself, in honor of a friend or family member, or after a business or organization. Foundation staff members are happy to provide guidance in determining the scholarship's specific criteria. Endowments may also be set up as memorial funds. A minimum gift of $10,000 is required to establish an endowed scholarship.

For more information on setting up an endowed scholarship, please contact the SCCF Executive Director, Mary M. Leland, M.Ed. at 916-558-2198.
