16 Weeks to Success
Take Advantage of SCC's 16-week Semesters

Beginning in Fall 2007, semesters at SCC will be just 16-weeks in length, and what a great opportunity for you to make the most of your time! There are so many ways to take advantage of the semester, including weekend courses, online classes, fewer class meetings, flexible scheduling and a shorter semester overall. With a shorter semester, the class periods will be slightly longer, but most classes meet Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. There are also classes which meet just one day a week, including Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. These options leave more days open to schedule work hours, study or use other great services the college offers, like free tutoring, counseling and tons of services in the library. In addition to the shorter semester, don't forget about the short term classes that you can complete in just four to eight weeks. Imagine all of the flexibility you have with these options - now packaged for you in a equally challenging, but shorter semester!

Success is now at your fingertips in just 16-weeks.

  • Register early to get the classes you want
  • Plan early for mid-terms
  • Take advantage of time between classes to study
  • Enroll in summer courses to complete required courses and avoid taking them in the fall or spring
