All applicants to the Sacramento City College Extended Campus Nursing Program at Sutter Center for Health Professions must take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) and submit results with completed application packets.

To register for the Test of Essential Academic Skills(TEAS) go to the TEAS Web Page on the Sutter Medical Center website.

For students who have taken the test - Go online to www.atitesting.com and click on online store. There is an option to have your TEAS results sent to another school for a fee. When asked which school, click on Sacramento City College, Extended Campus.

The test is a standardized test for pre nursing candidates in the areas of Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and language usage. A minimum score of 67 is required in each section. If the cut score of 67 is not achieved in each of the areas on the first attempt, applicants may remediate and take the entire test a second time and pay another $20. Retaking the test will depend on space availability. Spaces will be given to first-time testers first. All must be completed before applying to the nursing program. Instruction will be provided to applicants on the testing day for obtaining test results.

If an applicant has already taken the TEAS test at another school and has achieved a passing score in each of the four areas, the results can be obtained through the ATI website and submitted with application packets.
